Scholarships, Fellowships & Financial Aid
At the GW School of Business, we understand that pursuing your graduate studies is a significant financial investment. Through an array of merit scholarships and need-based financial aid opportunities we help ensure that you can reach your educational goals.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The GW School of Business offers a wide range of merit-based scholarship opportunities to assist deserving students in earning their degrees. Primary factors considered in evaluating a candidate for a merit-based award include academic performance, standardized test scores, professional experience, and an evaluative interview.
Endowed and partner scholarships provide an additional funding opportunity for those students who qualify. Scholarship criteria, eligibility and application process will vary based on individual endowments and partnerships.
GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS & ASSISTANTSHIPS
Fellowships are granted by a foundation, university, or agency to help fund advanced study or research at the Master’s and PhD levels. We offer a set of internal GW fellowships as well as external national and study abroad opportunities.
TUITION BENEFITS AND DISCOUNTS
Tuition benefits allow the GW School of Business to join with various corporations to provide discounted tuition and application fee waivers for students who qualify. We currently offer tuition benefits to qualifying LEIDOS, SAIC, Lockheed Martin, and OAS employees.
NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AID
Student loans are based on a combination of financial need and creditworthiness and are available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Most students apply to the Federal Direct Stafford Loan program, the Federal Graduate PLUS program, or both. Other private and federal loans are also available.
VETERANS & MILITARY
Nationally recognized as a top military and veteran-friendly university, GW offers a wealth of services and benefits to students who have served, or are currently serving, in the US Armed Forces. Funding resources are available through the GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon programs.
TUITION PAYMENT ASSISTANCE
There are a variety of ways to pay your student account bill and many students will use a combination of methods to settle the account in full. The university offers an interest-free monthly payment plan as well as employer reimbursement and third party billing options.
